Yes, kaboom

Filed in Blog

Weird. There was an explosion somewhere close by today–two, actually, close enough to change the air pressure with a bright light, source unknown–I saw it through the blinds. Not long afterwards a fire truck swung by but found exactly as much as we did when we later went and explored–nothing. If we hadn’t been setting up Don’s cellphone at the time then we would probably have gone out and chatted to the firemen.

Who knows what it was?

I spent a pleasant hour in Starbuck’s this morning, enjoying a coffee and a bit of a read. One of the staff came round and offered up samples of pumpkin chai lattes. I now know that I don’t like chai lattes, but it was nice to get a freebie. ;)

Thus inspired, I hauled out some paper and started brainstorming goals and ideas to reach them. I’ll write myself a kind of road map and take it from there.

We went for a ride to pick up the part we needed for hot water fixing. However, Geweke parts was closed for the weekend. Ptui! In the end we went to the storage shed where Don found another valve. The leak is now “fixed” (this has a small leak but not like the old one) and we just had our first shower in two days.

Our noses thank us.
