Yay for great beer!

I’m definitely impressed with Tops Super Foods. But like I’ve said before, the choices they offer are exceptional. And the beer fridge is particularly wondrous. Yesterday I found Hobgoblin Dark Ale from the Wychwood Brewery in Oxfordshire. Oh. My. Now, it’s $12 for a six-pack, so very pricey, so this will have to be some kind of special occasion beer. Luckily, they had Blue Moon’s summer offering, Honey Moon, instead, so I didn’t exactly feel deprived. ;)
I like a good small-brewery beer. It helps me to switch off, especially when I get a bit obsessive about working late at night. More often than not Don and I will split a bottle; I find that half a bottle is just the right amount. And the labels are often pretty, too. :)

Well, I make that £6.57 for your 6 pack. Yesterday buying beer in Sainsbury’s it was selling at just under £1.50 a bottle. Which means it’s cheaper int he US than in the UK 70 miles form where it’s made.
As they say in the US “Go figure?”
( we settled for a special offer of 3 bottles of Black Sheep for £4)
