Western Railroad Museum
Filed in BlogHere at the Western Railroad Museum it’s windy, and the wind is having a good old-fashioned wuther. It’s actually blowing the rig around–quite “interesting”, really. I wonder what it will be like in a real storm?
We spent the night at the rest stop again, and discovered that there’s a small leak in the window up top. My Flylady book, which I am re-reading, got decidedly wet and is now somewhat the worse for wear. ;)
It looks like it’s nothing worse than a window seal, and we’ll try a patch before going for the pop the window out and re-seal it approach. It rained on and off from when we got up yesterday and through the night, a steady pattering that was restful and blocked out enough of the traffic sounds (lighter on a weekend in any case) for us to get good sleep.
I had spotted the museum on a AAA map and we decided to give it a shot. Knowing absolutely nothing about it in advance, we parked the rig across several spaces and went in. $20 later we’d had two train rides on early 20th century electric street cars and trains, and were very happy indeed. I’ll do a proper write-up on Raven’s Roads within the next few days–there are lots of pictures to share. :)
