Severe weather advisory

Statement as of 8:27 PM PST on January 14, 2008

… Dense fog advisory in effect until 6 am PST Tuesday…

The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a dense fog advisory… which is in effect until 6 am PST Tuesday.

Visibilities less than one quarter mile will continue through the night. Sudden… dramatic drops in visibility can be expected. This will make driving hazardous along roadways. Visibilities may improve later tonight as north winds push the thickest fog south and east. Use extreme caution if you have to drive tonight.

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving… slow down…use your headlights… leave plenty of distance ahead of you… and allow extra time for your commute.

It’s nice and warm in here.
