Wasps again
Filed in Blog, CrittersI think Don must be getting a bit bored, because he asked me to help measure the height of the RV today. It’s 12′ 5″ tall and he made a label for the dashboard. Meanwhile, I blogged about it.
If I fall off the roof I’ll sustain 1d6 damage.
As I sat working in my sunny office this morning, I noticed large ominous flying shadows buzzing around outside the door. Upon further examination I discovered yet another wasp’s nest, this one crammed up high inside the outside light. Don took care of the wasp–and the one that was exploring the exhaust pipe as a possible site (yeah, right)–and then we stuffed the light crevice with tin foil.
Since I am not willing to share my rig with wasps of any variety (except dead), this is going to be an ongoing battle for a while. I guess I could call this an aspect of RVing that I don’t like–but we had wasps’ nests at the old house, as well. We’ll just have to be alert.
JR keeps wandering up and just looking at me. I guess he’s hungry. The wind’s getting up, and the blossoms are falling down like snow everywhere. While we were away the last time the little tree outside our space burst into full bloom. The orchards are a mass of flowers. Wasps notwithstanding, it’s a gorgeous time of year.
