Update
Filed in Blog, DomesticityWe’ve found a couple of likely dish candidates, one in Redding, one in Lincoln and one in Woodland. Woodland is the capital of Yolo County, so it still has unmined snarfage. ;)
We finished the shed! So satisfying! Even the freezer wasn’t as hard as we thought it would be. Many things are made better with a good-quality hand truck (though I still find it terrifying to be balancing a several-hundred-pound appliance on a small cart-like object). ;)
We went to Smart & Final to stock up on bulk goods, had an interesting time finding nooks and crannies to stuff things into, then headed over for a much-deserved In-N-Out cheeseburger. You know, the only fast food we’ve had since we arrived up north has been three sets of In-N-Out and two sets of Panda Express Chinese food. Compared to what we used to eat, that’s really very good going. :)
Next we’ll be stocking up on different foodstuffs at Food 4 Less. Tomorrow we’re going to do a run-through Ewok City, leaving some things, bringing others, and then we’ll see what the weather’s like for riding. The severe wind advisory’s in place until tonight, but I think it’s supposed to calm down after that.
I’m less displeased than I was earlier, but I’m still in a snit about it.
