Tuesday morning
Filed in BlogWell, at the time I sit down to write this post it’s still the morning. There are two whole minutes to noon.
I woke up to the sound of the battery alarm going off–a high pitched annoyance that is as hard to ignore as hungry cats who know all the places to walk for maximum discomfort. I got up, fed the cats, and put the generator on, which woke Don up. We did our duty by Wal-Mart, thus paying $66 for our free overnight. ;) We got in a little past midnight last night and the store was closed. To say that I fell asleep might not be accurate; “fell unconscious” might be more to the point. ;)
I’m rather stiff and sore this morning. My bending and twisting muscles got a workout yesterday with fetching this, that and the other from a cramped space in the storage shed. Also, getting the tire on and off is hard work. I may well go back to sleep later. We have been looking for a tube repair kit, to no avail. Kragen’s will be our next stop.
Still, I’m relaxing. This is a fun, unfettered way to spend a few days. I’m in no rush to do anything or go anywhere, or even to leave Lodi. Things will happen in their own good time.
