Thursday Thirteen #12: Leaving Lodi in 13 easy steps
Filed in Blog, Thursday Thirteen- Yesterday we left the campground that we’d called home since last November. I woke up early and did the dishes.

- I watched the trash collectors come for the last time. Monday and Thursday morning, every week, without fail.

- I scraped the cat box and added new litter. The cats were relieved. ;)

- I took care of some paperwork and filing. Might as well; the loose bits would be lost to the four winds in transit.

- Then I did a big pile of laundry. Goodbye, clean, tidy laundry room.

- When it was time, Don and I started breaking camp. I did the sewer hoses. (That fluid is nothing scary, just dish-washing and shower water.)

- After suitable ablutions I disconnected and neatly folded up the fresh water hose, too. I am finally getting the hang of looping things up.

- Don tried to inflate the tires with our little 12 volt air compressor. The air compressor wasn’t having any of that.

- We lined up to leave. Convoy!

- Next stop office, for propane. They invited us to their Memorial Day potluck anyway, which was sweet.
For the last five months we’ve been in space W13. We inadvertently pulled into N13 while I got a plate full of goodies. :)

- Then we were on our way…to Sears, in Stockton.

- We took a run through the main store before they sent us to automotive. We bought a Big Beefy Air Compressor (120 volts). It worked!

- Then it was on to the storage shed to put a new rear tire on Beastie so he could safely make the 250 mile journey north. But there was one problem.
The inner tube is shot.

Stay tuned for the next installment of Will They Find An Inner Tube And Actually Get On The Open Road? ;)

LOVED the cat appreciated the cleaning comment, but ooo poor inner tube!
I did one over on Journizer, a travel blog my friend set up where I am not doing any paid posts. This is an unsettling feeling. :-P

Hey! I haven’t stopped in for waaaay too long. Glad to hear you’re getting the feel of the new life, despite the stupid inner tube…

Honestly, the last time I stayed in an RV I was probably about 3 or so, and I was quotable! The family was on vacation, and I fell asleep on the actual bed, got moved to wherever they were stowing me, being the youngin, and when I woke up in transit, I said “This isn’t even a bed!” very disgustedly. This statement has often been repeated to me with great amusement on the part of my mother. Thusly was my love affair with an RV very brief! :D
Happy TT!

I like the “photo” list. I was actually thinking about the same touch, but am entirely too tired to dig up 13 photos of my son….Happy Trails!

Happy Trails my friend. We’re in the middle of packing here. I got your book in the mail, but haven’t had a moments rest to give it the attention it deserves. Will you have a new mailing addy? Good thing I’m the procrastination goddess and haven’t mailed yours out yet.
Happy T13!

A new inner tube has been acquired. We just need to pluck up the courage to take the wheel off again. ;)

Shaunesay: ROFLMAO! It’s amazing how stuff said as kids can come back to bite you many years later. ;)
And you were right, it’s not a real bed. ;)

Lori–not quite. We’re looking for a place to settle right now, as there’s some paperwork I need to take care of. We thought Lodi might be it, but apparently not. One of these days we’ll find it.
