Too. Darn. Hot.

Filed in Blog

It’s 89 degrees out, and 40% humidity. That’s about 15 degrees too many, and 35% too humid. I can literally feel the strength being sucked out of my bones. You expect this in July, not May.

I just hoiked three big loads of laundry over to the laundry-room and that was quite enough to dry out the cup of water I’d dumped over my head to cool myself down. Thank goodness that the temps are supposed to drop another ten degrees tomorrow, and carry on down to something manageable.

I would be completely hosed without the air conditioning.

We are preparing to leave Lodi. We may go as early as tomorrow, or stay for the rest of the week depending on how well we think we can accomplish what needs doing without steady internet. We’re looking to move up into the mountains. When we do, it will be on private land, so I’m unlikely to blog about it in any but the most general terms. And when we do, it will be cooler and hopefully much less humid than here.

Wonderful.
