Today is so fired
Filed in BlogToday it was my turn to have A One Of Those Days.
I started off by finding a hole in the carpet that goes right the way through the lining and down to the wood. There was a cat turd in it.
Then I made an error on some paperwork which has to be perfect, and which must now be redone. The trouble is my printer, hooked up to this laptop, most likely won’t print what I need because of some technical issues (I could posit a theory but you probably don’t care) but if I run it from the other computer it won’t print high enough resolution. So there is hoop-jumping in my future.
After that I went out for a nice cup of coffee and to photograph my next batch of chocolate. Only I couldn’t because somewhere close by, probably under the rig (I can’t find it) there is a wasp’s nest and there is one complete and utter b****rd of a wasp that harrassed me the whole time I was there. I’m talking buzzing over my head and trying to nick my coffee and hovering over the chocolate. I was not best pleased and my not-best-pleasedness woke Don up too.
Eventually I had my coffee inside and had two pieces of chocolate a good ways away from the rig, but it wasn’t the relaxing thing it was supposed to be.
I went to get more rocks for my labyrinth. The entire time I was doing so the goats bleated without pause and one of the outdoor cats tried its best to get trodden on/tripped over. I found some nice rocks and then went to get the wheelbarrow, couldn’t find it, so I took the little trailer that is supposed to pull behind the quad bike. The rocks made it stand on end. I had to haul the whole thing by crouching over and stopping frequently. Of course I was dripping with sweat what with it being humid and, once again, smoky. On the plus side I got a workout and found a beautiful chunk of pure quartz.
I spent the afternoon working. It’s slow going, but at least it’s going.
I took my laptop outside to do a bit of offline work as I found that relaxing yesterday. I was pestered by flies and that obnoxious wasp and went so far as to take my fly swatter out. It wouldn’t actually settle on anything though. First Gracie, then Silver yowled at me through the open door. They’ve both been acting stir-crazy today. Gracie even started scratching my leg…she never does that.
Tomorrow I’m going to lie in wait for the wasp.
Inside, I fought my laptop to get it to make its wonky power connection again and I lost a fish stick when it fell off the tray onto a dirty surface. Also, shift doesn’t seem to want to work (on the laptop, not the fish stick).
So basically now I’m wound as tight as a tightly woven thing and I’m going to have a shower. Which will probably be cold.

Ouch! Sounds like you need a break from today (err… yesterday!) Hope Sunday is better. Maybe a ride will help?

Oh, dear.
*HUGS*
You did have a day of it…
:(
I hope today is better.
I do have to say.
I didn’t mean to laugh.
Really.
I didn’t…
But this, from you, really gave me a laugh:
Also, shift doesn’t seem to want to work (on the laptop, not the fish stick).
I can relate…
And oh, how I laughed!!
;^)
(Sorry…)

I’m so sorry, but this made me laugh! I could just picture the cat, thrilled at finding a ready-made hole.
I hope your day improves!
