Three digits

It’s hot. We got back from the vet and I had a hard time being outdoors. In fact, we got up to 101 degrees and I gather it’s going to get hotter. Setting up camp is a little different with these kinds of hookups, i.e. non-campground utilities, so today was the first time I attached the macerator, first time I attached the water with its new splitter, and first time I helped set up the satellite dish.

It’s been hard to concentrate. I’m still feeling sad, of course, and will for some time. It’s just so surreal how things change so quickly, how a missing pet leaves such a big hole. We put JR’s food bowl away, offered the remains of his prescription food on Freecycle, and don’t have to cover every soft surface in case he dribbles on it. I’d love to have him back, dribbling, but it doesn’t work that way.

Oh well. Maybe I’ll feel better tomorrow.
