The winds of change
Filed in BlogI woke up at 7:30 this morning to the RV blowing around in the wind. The strong, almost 20mph winds are literally making things shake. As a result, the dismal heat of earlier in the week is, blissfully, gone. But I feel like I’m on a boat. ;)
Other kinds of winds are changing, too. We’ll be leaving Lodi soon and will relocate to the Trinity-Shasta area. Because we are taking a private RV pad on private property, I won’t be talking much, if at all, about that place. I will, however, continue to show pictures from our RV explorations. In other words, from time to time we will still be taking Harvey out on adventures. You’ve got to keep running the systems, dont’cha know. ;)
For years–since my twenties–I’ve said that I wanted to live in the country, where there are more trees than people. Well, that wish is finally here, and now I get to find out if I really do still want it. :: grin ::
I’m very much looking forward to this new chapter in a beautiful place.

I like trees! I hope you enjoy country living. If it’s very far from stores, you’ll have to plan your shopping, that’s all.

It’s about an 80 mile round trip to do “major shopping”, so we’ll probably make that a once-a-month chore. There are smaller stores nearby (the county town, Weaverville, should be good for that). But we’d do the bulk in Redding, which is quite a large city.
I’ll soon find out *grin* :)
