The RV still works
Filed in CatsWe took the RV for a little drive yesterday. I’m learning how to unhook and re-hook the hookups; I’m getting the hang of it, though having sewage drip on my hand doesn’t please me enormously. There’s only one connector I can’t get, the one that fixes the two lengths of sewer hose together. It’s as stiff as all get out: even Don has trouble with it.
JR had to go back to the vet. He’s still not well, and has lost much of his bladder control. The doc thinks he’s still struggling with his infection, so we’ll keep on treating it. This is going to cost us, I think, about $100 a month in antibiotics alone, but we’ll deal. At least he’s still able to pee. We have to take him back on Monday to make sure he’s improving.
We parked the rig near Panera and treated ourselves to soup and sandwiches. Don doesn’t like eating out but I like it, so this is a reasonable compromise. The novelty of sitting outside and using their internet and eating their food has not worn off. I wonder if it ever will? There is something inherently exciting about having a home on wheels, and even the most mundane places become exciting.
