Sears parking lot

Filed in Blog

Well…we’re onto the next adventure. New chapter time! This morning I did the laundry, litter box and dishes, and got directions to various places on I-80 that we’ll need to visit. Then Don got up, and between the two of us we broke camp.

When we stopped by the front office to get propane they invited us to have lunch at their Memorial Day potluck. That was really kind, since we didn’t bring anything (they said come anyway). They had Lockeford sausage, a local specialty which is really very nummy, and all sorts of goodies from baked beans to pasta salad. And then we said our farewells and left a forwarding address and that was that.

Because our 12 volt (battery powered) air compressor, bought new on our first trip to Camping World and broken shortly afterwards, did not want to do much inflating any more, Don suggested that we pick up a heavy duty, AC-powered version. That’s why we’re at Sears. We chased through the entire store before they sent us to the nearby Auto store. Turned out that we had the last one of a discontinued item, and so the manager knocked $20 off for us. Way cool!

So now Don is inflating tires and I’m typing away and chronicling our journey from one RVing home to the next.
