Now you see it, now you don’t
Filed in MaintenanceDon has once again conquered leakage.
The photo below shows how to get rid of a puddle of power steering fluid that has leaked. You get a small amount of clumping cat litter, spread it over the puddle, and grind it in with something (he used a hammer).
To fix the leak first he got under the rig to figure out which hose was the problem. Then he worked from the top and I got to lie under the rig to wiggle the hose. (Hint to anyone trying this: don’t do it at noon; you’ll get blinded by the sun.) He established that there seemed to be no leak from the actual hose, but the clamp area was particularly grody. So he got a little bicycle clip style clamp and clamped it and lo: leakless!
Once again our RV’s attempts to be leaky and obnoxious have been thwarted by Super Mechanic. ;)

When I was a child my father liked to rebuild old cars. He always had a bag of cat litter in the garage to clean up his spills.
