Stew

Thanks to a wonderful local foodie blog, I found Al and Peg’s, an equally wonderful produce stand, about a month ago. No longer do we need to put up with food that’s been sitting in the distribution chain for days, if not weeks; this is almost all locally grown and produced. I decided to make stew, and combined two recipes to make this delectable concoction. It was experimental, so I didn’t document its creation, but I will next time as it was a unilateral hit (even the cats wanted in on it).

Basic ingredients: ground beef, beef bouillon cubes, tomato sauce, potatoes, carrots, onion and thyme. We usually buy a can of stew for our campfire; this time we’ll have our own. :)
