Lazy daze
Filed in BlogThursday is turning into my day off, the day when I without the remotest bit of guilt spend hours reading through Thursday Thirteen memes and getting to know people of vastly differing backgrounds and attitudes.
It was a lovely, sunny day today. I went to the office and picked up a couple of Christmas cards. Yay! They were answering questions about a part time position in the office so I inquired, but sadly the policy is not to hire anyone who actually lives here, which is too bad. It would have been a tiny commute.
Hm, maybe I can get a job at the nearby gas station instead.
The bikes are once again put away, as we got the van to take JR for his next vet visit. He got some of his shots and is doing better. The vet was pleased with his progress and yes, he was pleased that I got the urine sample. ;)
Don was under the weather so we’ll not do the vehicle shuffle today. It’s no biggie. Tomorrow will be the day because after that I will start missing my wheels. Sooner or later we’re going to have to buy a trailer for the bikes, but not for several months. We’re contemplating the idea of taking the rig to a lakeside campground for Christmas.
All around the campground, decorations and Chrismas trees are springing up. It’s sort of cute to see how people decorate their rolling homes. Some put them in the cab and others “plant” them outside. I’ll have to go round and take some pictures soon.
There’s nothing much going on here, and a lot can be said for that. I’ve had way too much chaos this year. Don has been fixing bits and pieces, and I have done domestic stuff like dish washing and laundry. That’s about it. It’s tame, maybe even lame, but it’s what I need right now.
