We brought home JR today. He was so happy to be here that not only did he scratch the scratching strip, he also removed it from its holder and juggled it.

He’s pinking up, resuming normal litter box habits, and we’re hoping that a course of antibiotics will tip the balance back to health.

Incidentally, we had to modify the scratcher. JR is so hefty that when he scratched it would just slide away from him. He always looked so disappointed that in the end we had to tape it down. ;)
