RSS Incoming winter
Filed in BlogThe other day a lovely fingernail moon rose up over the horizon. Another month has started and the year of 2007 is rapidly deflating.
We took down the awning because it was making alarming noises in the wind. The forecast was for something like 10mph winds, which is enough to make an unstable, unlocked awning flap too much. I guess winter is on its way; they are even “threatening” some rain this Sunday. The days seem short, and staying holed up with the heaters on is attractive. Warmth is a cuddly feeling.
Our boy-cat JR is still at the vet. Given that he managed to rip out two catheters already, I can see this vet bill topping a thousand bucks. Little stinker! I hope he feels better soon.
I really wanted to ride today, but my bike wouldn’t start and I crashed it during the bump-start process. This is not shaping up to be a good week, but then, it’s not boring either. (The minivan did make it through smog, though. It wasn’t all bad.)
We received a note on our door today. One of the other guests here was rushed to hospital so the management was letting folk know so that we can visit his wife and keep her mind off things. How cool is that?
I have changed my address now for the purposes of the government. Banks, etc. and the like can wait a few days until we can get a post office box. I am looking forward to joining the local library and reading every book about RVing I can get my paws on. You can expect reviews, and a better-educated blogger. :)
