So, on a whim, the last time I paid the storage shed rent I asked if they had any of the Super-Duper Big Sheds available. These don’t come up often, but I must’ve been having a psychic moment.

They did.

So, it is now reserved on the honor system. The day after tomorrow, we should be down in Stockton doing something we should have done while we were actually living down there: consolidating our stuff down to one shed.

There are a few things going on here.

It’s 50 square feet bigger, and $50 a month cheaper.

With the removal of several large items, and this extra space, it will be big enough to store my books in, meaning I can take them out of the warehouse in Nevada (and this means a trip to Nevada–yahoo!) and save a further $300 a year. (Seriously? Would you please request a copy of my book at your local library?)

We can go through our stuff and find new homes for some of it.

We may be able to downgrade further in the future, but one thing at a time.

We’ll be able to GET AT stuff.

I get to play with Amber after all.

We can go to the A&W in Lodi with its Shiny New Plaque.

And I/we get to meet WanderingRaleighite, the #1 Markeroon, for the first time.

And…and…and…ROAD TRIP!

Oh, and by the way…
