Here we are again
Filed in BlogWe’re back down in the Stockton area again. It was a pretty exhausting journey; while we were at a rest area last night around 8, we got sandwiched between two gigantic generator-running trucks and decided to move on. Bad move. There wasn’t one single RV-sized spot in any of the rest areas after that.
We finally rolled into Lodi’s Flying J at five this morning, and roughly five minutes after that we were both asleep. I woke up a few hours later and trundled over to my old haunt, the Starbucks, for a Starbucks McMuffin (so-so) and coffee (that hit the spot). It didn’t really feel like old times.
Then we pootled over to Flag City where we got a warm welcome, as in, they remembered us. :) We needed propane–a lot of propane! This was the biggest fill we ever did, at 13-point-something gallon. It’s also the first time we have filled up since we left Lodi, nearly 3 months ago. Propane is a very efficient fuel!
I won’t be blogging much about this trip. We got the huge storage shed, and now we are having a think about how we want to handle the consolidation. We will have to build more shelving. A great deal of hard physical labor is in our future, quite possibly bad tempers, and a lot of sweat. On the other hand, these huge sheds hardly ever come up, so we couldn’t help but grab the opportunity with both hands. It will be awesome to finally sort out this moving mess and get to where we can access our stuff!
But yeah. Don’t be surprised not to hear from me much. I’m going to be busy, and tired. ;)

Be careful, don’t hurt your back. That goes for both of you. You’re young now, but your backs have to last you your lifetimes.

Good luck to both of you! Consolidating and throwing away can be touchy, at best. ::hug:: We’ll still be here when you recover from the labor.

Sorry I couldn’t talk today. Much was accomplished, but only by running around like a loon.
The concert was good (not VERY good, but good) but Sis and I were so tired we left during the intermission.
I look forward to your being local again, however briefly.

Hi FH! You betcha that’s one promise I can make. I’ve had more than my share of backache and want to avoid more if I can. :)

Thanks, BR! I’m looking forward to it, though a bit daunted. ;)
