Today was my parents’ Golden wedding anniversary and I missed it. I couldn’t be there and I couldn’t even call.

One of the things I really don’t like is having to rely on phone cards and payphones–and the eight hour time difference makes my window of opportunity rather small. I think in the end we tried five different phones and each time the line was busy. Everyone and their brother was calling up to congratulate them on this unique occurrence. Two hours later it was just too late to call. I missed it.

So yeah. Sometimes not having a “real” home sucks, too.
