Last sunset of 2007

I slipped outside to dump the trash, and saw the most amazing golden sunset. I haven’t seen one as vivid as this for years. It must be 2007’s swan song, the putting out of the light on a year that, really, hasn’t been so good.
Perhaps this is a promise of better things, encapsulated in glorious sunlight. One can only hope.
