Bonfire night food

Filed in Food

November 5th was Bonfire Night for me, an English tradition that stems from Guy Fawkes’ and cronies’ attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament in 1605. While I certainly didn’t have access to all the traditional foods such as parkin or home made toffee, I did my best. A turkey pot pie, some baked beans, a baked potato each and a caramel apple to share made for a wonderful, hot, outdoors compromise.

This is fun.

Pussreboots: It seems that way! It did amuse me, though, to find the traditional mushy peas in a shop in Yountville :)
