A line full of RVers
Filed in BlogWhile at the supermarket today I overheard the checker telling a lady that she’d earned a free turkey by buying $100 worth of groceries. The lady was pleased.
The guy next in line asked if anyone ever refused and the checker said that yes, they did. The guy suggested that maybe they had an RV, and he’d been with someone RVing once when they won a $20 turkey and somehow squeezed it into their little RV fridge. Turned out the guy used to have a fifth wheel and was thinking it might be nice to get a new one to share with his son.
Then the checker herself chipped in and said that she’d been living in an RV for a year now, and that she knew it wouldn’t fit in her fridge/freezer. She wasn’t even sure if she could cook it. I know that I certainly couldn’t–we had to modify cookie sheets to make them fit. ;)
So then of course it was my turn to say “We moved into our RV about a month ago.”
It’s a small world. :)
