A busy day

Don fixed a bunch of things: added latches to doors and fixed the front door so it wasn’t such a fight to open it. He greased the doorstep so I can actually get it down now without wrenching my back. This is handy because otherwise I have to cross my fingers and hope that I won’t break an ankle every time I leap down.

There were numerous little five-minute jobs that together took up some considerable time.

Then we went to drop off the minivan and picked up Beastie instead. I had heard that there was to be a thunderstorm and I could feel the pressure change in the air and see the angry clouds gathering. Naturally the storage shed with all its gathered delights distracted us both, and as a result the first rumble of thunder echoed across the land before we were done, and we rode off into a few drops of rain. However, we soon out-accelerated them and the storm, which wasn’t much of a storm in the end, never made it to the campground. I was a bit disappointed as I had been looking forward to experiencing rain in an RV.

I made up for it by cooking up a storm.
