Thursday Thirteen: #5–13 adventures in our RV in 2007
Filed in Thursday ThirteenPretty much everything about the RV has been an adventure so far. The novelty of moving into a home on wheels, of figuring out where to fit everything, of how it all works, and all the rest of it is an adventure that won’t stop, I think. But here are thirteen adventures we’ve had since picking it up in the latter half of October, and a Happy New Year to you all. :)

- “Taking delivery” of the RV was fun. We spent our first night at the Wal-Mart parking lot in Lodi, and had microwave mac n cheese as our first meal.
- Then we spent our second night at Camp Flying J.
- And after that we tried our first campground for about a week.
- Then we went and spent a night in Manteca.
- And another in the parking lot of Denny’s in Santa Clara after a visit to Camping World down in San Martin.
- We checked in for a week’s trial at the campground that would become home.
- Then about a week later we went to Camping World in Fairfield, and spent the night in a rest area in Vallejo.
- The next day, we went RV-snarfing for the first time, in Napa.
- We spent the night in Calistoga before returning–via the rest area once again.
- Culinary adventures abound. I did the best I could for Bonfire Night and did a fine Thanksgiving dinner too. Even the cats had fun.
- I learned a little about plumbing.
- Nature’s Miracle became my new best friend.
- And, just a couple of days ago, we celebrated Christmas.
